About the Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon
The Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon has been offering training and performance opportunities to young musicians in southern Oregon and northern California since its inception in 1988.
The YSSO includes three orchestras, Youth Symphony, Youth Orchestra, and Youth Strings, offering a range of performance levels for aspiring orchestral musicians.
The YSSO is nonprofit organization guided by a volunteer governing board. The professional staff includes a music director & conductor, an associate conductor and an executive director. Volunteers assist with numerous activities, special events, rehearsals, concerts and initiatives.
